Mission Trips. What Are They and Who Are They For?

In 2015 my oldest son and I went on our first “Mission Trip”. I was hesitant and was convinced that this wasn’t my thing. The trip was to Guatemala to help do some work at an orphanage outside of a small town. I really had no idea what I was getting into or what to …

Sheraton Buganvilias, Puerto Vallarta, Mexico

Ahhhh, yes. Meheeko!!! We had decided years ago that we were done traveling to Mexico. It’s not a bad thing, it’s just that we had been to Cabo, Cancun, Cozumel and Playa del Carmen. Our personal rule of travel is, “We don’t repeat places we’ve been until we’ve been everywhere we wanna go”. However…when you …

Reethi Faru Resort – Maldives

Well, here we are. Post vacation and just letting the past week marinade a bit before jumping headfirst back into life. We just spent a week at Reethi Faru Resort in Raa Atol Maldives. Bottom line, it was pretty killer. Good food, great scenery, awesome mommy/daddy time together. But lets dive in a little deeper …

For me, personally, …

Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. I’d Definitely Go Again!!

My wife and I like to travel. I mean, like outside the U.S. travel. The U.S. is awesome but there’s a lot to see on this rock and we want to see it all. Except Southeast Asia. She could care less. I on the other hand, loved Japan. Anyway, enjoying travel and being very frugal don’t go hand-in-hand. That’s where me lady comes into the picture. She’s a bargain shopper, even when it comes to travel. We are actually going to Maui, for the second time, this fall and are only paying less than $800 for both of us to stay for 6 days at an all-inclusive. That’s good.
