A major trend, issue, fallacy, whatever, that is happening today, and has been happening for years, is that people dissect the bible and pick out parts that works best for them. First of all, God didn’t ask for our opinion.
Many people choose work, money, travel, sex, drugs, alcohol, gambling, adventure, etc. to fill them with that peace. The funny thing is, once you have peace on the inside those external acts will become unnecessary. That doesn’t mean you have to stop doing the things you enjoy but they are just unneeded.
The Bible is not “just a book about religion”. The Bible is a guide book to life. It’ll teach you how to live your life as well as how to raise your children, treat other people, choose and treat your wife, live like a man and so much more.
